KLAUDE

Rising project KLAUDE call themselves “sad-sexy” – their alt pop is packed with grooving bass lines, minimalist guitars, and sultry synthscapes. Slightly left-field and hailed as “effortlessly cool”, the project has been compared to the likes of POND, The Marias, and Massive Attack.

Under their new alias, songwriter and vocalist Codie ‘Klaude’ Sundstrom emerged from hiatus last year to embark on a fresh creative trajectory. Joining forces with producer and engineer Willow Fearns (Moana), the pair joined forces to craft their first psychedelic-tinged body of work before adding drummer Ethan Darnell (Project Bexx) to the mix.

Despite being relatively fresh project, KLAUDE has already garnered national airplay on community radio, a 2022 WAM Song of the Year nomination, and attention from ToneDeaf & Triple J Unearthed.

In an unexpected turn of events, the project made their first live appearance earlier this year supporting Angel Olsen for two sold out shows before debuting internationally at the sold out Spring is Queer Festival in London (UK). With their second body of work already underway and a series of releases slated for later this year, KLAUDE is an act to watch as their career continues to unfold.
