View Exploring PastelsJim Buchanan is an artist, designer and tutor who has taught in the Perth metro area and remote WA. He is passionate about creating art in soft pastel and charcoal mediums, Jim explores the interplay of light and colour in the natural and built landscapes. Jim trained as an Interior Designer and later as an Art and Design Teacher in the UK before working for many years as an Architectural Illustrator in Western Australia. In his exploration of art as a path to wholeness, Jim also trained as an Art Therapist.
In a relaxed and creative setting, Jim encourages the development of a personal approach to exploring the wonderful medium of pastels.
