Self-Exploration Through Creative Play: Collage Sculptures (NEW!) with Robyn Varpins

Get to know yourself a little better in this new one day workshop designed and led by Robyn Varpins. This art therapy workshop is designed to help you understand how your brain works, while you have a lot of fun and relax creating collages.

In this hands-on making workshop you will create sculptures that represent the brain's regulatory systems. Bring simple cardboard boxes to life by adding collage and other creative materials to make four small box creations that can have many uses!

At the beginning of the session we will discuss the central theme for the workshop, which will help guide your creativity. The theme explored in this workshop will be 'The Three Regulatory Systems of Your Brain'. Topics explored will include the 'Threat, Drive, and Soothing Systems', and strategies to assist in regulating yourself.

Perfect for beginners through to advanced students. No experience necessary, you will develop skills in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. Any advanced students will be encouraged to explore composition, texture, and colour in new ways!
