Peter Collins’ enjoyment of colour and interest in ideas about the workings of the universe are reflected in his acrylic and manipulated mixed paintings.

Layli Rakhsha’s printmaking approaches the Western Australian landscape with feelings of nostalgia and longing. Uncertain pathways and hidden places are articulated through the application of precious texts by Persian poet Rumi (1207 – 1273).

This exhibition presents the artists’ investigations into the natural dyes of Western Australia. Drawing on both Indigenous and non-Indigenous knowledge, Trudi Pollard’s coloured, stained and smudged textile pieces are accompanied by a collaborative work developed with the Pilbara communities of Cossack, Roeburne and Tom Price.

Australia’s most prestigious award and exhibition for prints and artists’ books, in any print medium, celebrates the vitality of printmaking today.
