Mal de Mer is a dynamic 5-piece Perth band that effortlessly glides between Funk, Indie, Soul, Pop and Jazz, blending them all together with an Australian twang; adding a flavour that isn’t commonly found in these genres. With groove shifts that keep you on your toes, and unapologetic lyricism that speaks directly to your inner angsty teen, the band is continually honing their craft and sound with each release.

Heathcote Blue began as a solitary bedroom folk project for Boorloo-based songwriter Lyndon Blue (also of Leafy Suburbs, Methyl Ethel, Spice World et al), before growing to a duo with sister Maddy Blue adding layers of vocal harmony, violin and recorder for a scratchy demo EP. By the time 2017’s debut LP ‘Stray Dog Daily’ emerged, Heathcote Blue was a fully-fledged band with a sound landing somewhere between Drag City alt-country, Nick Drake and Australian forebears the Go-Betweens. After a few years’ hiatus, 2021 saw the return of the Heathcote Blue band with new members, a richer sound – and a slew of new songs slated to comprise another album in the coming months.
