ELLA THERESE
Poised and powerful, West Coast’s alt-pop songstress Ella Therese knows what she wants. Bringing a bewitching, dance-infused energy to her music, Ella Therese combines compulsive rhythms, steamy synths and her seductive vocal tone for a sonic experience that inspires the head, the heart and the body. Her insightful, unstoppable drive coupled with her knack for creating engaging indie / alt-pop music is garnering plenty of attention, most recently on rotation on Double J.
HECTOR MORLET
Based in Fremantle, Hector Morlet has kicked around the Perth music scene for years, pouring his experience into his bedroom beat-making. His captivating melodies are punctuated by tight, textured beats and grooving bass lines. Hector’s live sets feature a combination of woozy and growling synthetic sounds, laced with gliding vocals and clarinet refrains. His first releases gained a pleasantly surprised reception within Australia and across the pond – not an easy feat for someone who makes all his recordings in his bedroom. Finding his origins on SoundCloud and developing in bands around the South West of Australia, Hector formed his style with a unique blend of contemporary and classic influences.
