To celebrate the remarkable women in our lives, Half the Sky and Studio Kiin have invited West Australians to share stories, poems, recipes, drawings and photographs of a woman who inspires them.

The stories will be displayed at Remarkable Women, a performance installation led by artist Emele Ugavule, featuring live performances by five storytellers and a musician, who have been commissioned to respond to the idea with spoken word or song.

Both of my grandmother’s have had a profound impact on my life – the sacrifices they made for their children, their commitment to knowledge gathering & sharing. Working on Remarkable Women feels like an extension of the legacy I inherited from them both” – Emele Ugavule

Join us for an evening of conversation and connection and an opportunity to pay tribute to your own Remarkable Woman.

Tickets include entry to the outdoor performance installation, a large slice of delicious Box Pizza and a non-alcoholic beverage. Bring something warm to wear.
