17 March – The promoter has regretfully advised the postponement of the The National’s tour dates in Australia and New Zealand scheduled to start later this month.
However we are pleased to announce that new shows have been scheduled in December 2020 with Phoebe Bridgers joining on all dates. See the band’s statement below.
“The COVID-19 outbreak has led to a challenging few weeks for everyone. We have been monitoring the situation daily with our management & promoter partners. We have a responsibility to our dedicated audiences, to our amazing crew, to our families at home, and to ourselves to take precautions in the interest of health and safety. For this reason we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Australia and New Zealand performances with Phoebe Bridgers until December. We look forward to seeing you all at the end of the year.”
If you purchased tickets for Sat 21 March they are now valid for Sat 19 December
If you purchased tickets for Sun 22 March they are now valid for Sun 20 December
If you are unable to attend the new show date, please email [email protected] requesting a refund or exchange prior to 11:59pm on Friday 27th March 2020.
Handsome Tours is thrilled to announce that The National will play a second FAC show on their 2020 Australian tour which celebrates the release of their eighth studio album I Am Easy To Find – out now via Remote Control Records / 4AD.
Formed in 1999, the Ohio-raised, Brooklyn-based band consists of vocalist Matt Berninger plus two pairs of brothers: Aaron Dessner (guitar, bass, piano) and Bryce Dessner (guitar), and Scott Devendorf (bass, guitar) and Bryan Devendorf (drums).
For their upcoming tour, the band will nestle into their most intimate Australian venues in a decade, delivering fans the raw intensity and emotion of their live show, up-close-and-personal like never before.
The National will be supported by LA-based rising star Phoebe Bridgers.
We strongly recommend purchasing tickets for all FAC shows from fac.oztix.com.au or an official Oztix retail outlet. Scalped online tickets purchased from a third party may be fraudulent and you may be refused entry.
