Event postponed

19 March – The safety and enjoyment of our patrons, staff and artists is always our priority. In light of current government public health recommendations, we have decided to postpone all of our scheduled concerts and performances until further notice.

We will be rescheduling Defying Gravity Under the Stars, with a new date to be announced in the coming weeks.

Your ticket will be valid for the new date so please hold onto it for the time being. If, when the new details are announced, you are unable or unwilling to attend, you will of course be eligible for a full refund at that time.

Your support in holding onto your ticket and attending events while our industry gets back on its feet will greatly help FAC and the network of artists, crew, managers, event staff and others whose livelihoods depend on the arts.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through these unprecedented circumstances. We can’t express enough our gratitude for your support and patronage of Fremantle Arts Centre. We have an amazing community and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

For more information please don’t hesitate to contact us or Oztix to discuss your options.

Jim Cathcart, Director
Fremantle Arts Centre

Defying Gravity’s annual FAC performance is a joyous and uplifting night of music. The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts’ accomplished percussion ensemble, led by Tim White, has won a legion of fans for their sublime talent, quirky programs and unmatched enthusiasm.

In 2020, Defying Gravity are joined by percussion virtuoso Joshua Webster. FAC’s charming Inner Courtyard will be filled with the rapturous sounds of ancient and modern percussion. The generous program includes the energy and rhythm of music from Latin America as well as compositions by Pavan Kumar Hari, The Dark Knight, The Police’s Stewart Copeland and more.

Don’t miss this unforgettable night of music under the stars.
