ACurtin_©miles_lowry WEBThe City of Fremantle Art Collection exhibition Being There: Kathleen O’Connor in Paris coincides with the national release of Amanda Curtin‘s new book about the significant WA arts figure. Published by Fremantle Press, Kathleen O’Connor of Paris is part biography, part travel narrative and tells the story of an artist in a foreign land who, with limited resources and despite the impacts of war and loss, worked and exhibited in Paris for over forty years.

Join Amanda and City of Fremantle Art Collection Curator André Lipscombe for an afternoon of lively and informative discussion about the artist’s life, travels and practice, with reference to some of the paintings and artworks on display in the gallery.

Following the talk, Amanda will sign copies of her book which will be available to purchase.
