If you need a midweek feel-good boost, look no further than FAC Yeah! Fremantle Arts Centre’s popular new choir is a wholesome high point in the week. Singing with a group of like-minded friends, new and old, makes you feel great. Led by local music sensation Natalie Gillespie, FAC Yeah! is a fun drop-in group where you can fill your lungs, and your heart, and have a ball singing.

Sunday Music: Nannup Festival presents Krui3ers + Nelson Oreeri

Sun 05 Mar 2023  |  2:00pm — 4:00pm  |  Front Garden

This special edition of Sunday Music is presented in association with Nannup Festival, and features celebrated Indigenous musical acts The Krui3ers and Nelson O'Reeri. The Krui3ers are an original four-piece rock band from the Mowanjum Community in the Kimberley with a high energy country rock style combining melodic chorus lines and distinctive guitar riffs. A proud Ngarinyin Man, Nelson O'Reeri's songs are about his connection to Country, spirituality, language, law and culture.

Sunday Music: Big Orange + The Mackerels

The brainchild of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Davis, Big Orange evolves into a full band onstage, with Davis’ vocals, piano and guitar work complemented by life-long friends David Jago on bass, Emma Adams on synths and percussion, Jamie Gallacher on drums and Brother Chris Davis on guitar. They are joined on the bill by The Mackerels, a talented group of muso-friends, whose jangly indie-pop sounds and authentic storytelling reels you in from the first line.

In this edition of Disclosure for Other Horizons exhibiting artist Jasmine Togo Brisby (Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington ) joins writer, activist and Curator of Ideas for the Perth Festival, Sisonke Msimang (Western Australia / South Africa) in a captivating dialogue which charts identity, the body politic, migration and belonging in what we call Australia.
