Working with Coloured Pencils (NEW!) with Sean Wain

Drawing and painting combined! Learn to use coloured pencils to enrich your repertoire of approches to making art.

Classes will initally explore combining line and colour to dynamic effect in representing your subject. Following classes will focus on using coloured pencil to apply colour across a field, for a softer more delicate approach to image making. TOuch on colour theory and learn how warm and cool colour contrasts can overtl and subliminally enhance our perception of volume. A great course to put this versitile medium through its paces and play with colour!

What to bring:-

  • Faber Castell Polychroma Pencil Set, 24's or 36's

  • A4 Cartridge Paper Pad

  • Coloured paper (no need to pre-purchase - will be discussed in the first class)

  • White plastic eraser
  • Sharpener

Tutor Sean Wain

Sean Wain has been teaching drawing and painting since 1986. He first exhibited at the FAC in 1993 with oil and watercolour paintings, exploring pattern, colour and architectural space.
