Watercolour Painting: Colours in the Landscape 18th – 19th January 2025 (Summer Special) with Rodney Sinclair

Capture the colours of the landscape in beautiful Watercolour under the tuition of expert tutor Rodney Sinclair in this new course.

Build on your skills using Watercolours in this hands - on workshop run over two days in FAC's light filled Drawing Studio and bring the great outdoors to life.

Perfect as a follow on Summer Special course from 'Introduction to Watercolours’  with Rodney Sinclair, or for students with some experience looking to update their knowledge to pursue the beauty and colour of nature through the wonderful medium of Watercolour Painting.

What to bring:-

  • Watercolour paints (Cotman, Art Spectrum or similar) - 1 tube or of each colour: Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow Pale, Lemon Yellow, Cobalt Blue, Intense Blue (Pthalo Blue), Sap Green, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Ivory Black, Paynes Grey, Chinese White
  • Watercolour palette (plastic, medium to large mixing sections/compartments)
  • Brushes - No. 3 & No. 12 round nylon brush, Cheap Bristle or Synthetic one inch (25 mm) flat brush (short handle)
  • Pencils HB, 2B
  • Faber-Castell Kneadable Eraser
  • Watercolour paper 300gsm Cold Press A4 or larger (watercolour pad is ideal!)
  • Two water jars or plastic containers
  • Masking tape 25mm
  • Tissues
