View Beginners Acrylics with Miles CarpenterGot a songwriting itch you want to scratch? This course led by award winning singer-songwriter Emily Barker, is suitable for songwriters at all stages, including beginners. Originally from Bridgetown, WA, Emily Barker has just returned to home shores after living in the UK for the past 21 years and working professionally in the music industry. Emily is keen to share the songwriting and compositional techniques she's learnt along the way, and to help songwriters improve their craft through lyric, melody and structure development, music theory, and constructive editorial feedback on songs. Each session will start with an informal lecture, followed by a writing exercise and prompts to inspire new songs. Engage in guided collaboration with other students and take up the opportunity to share songs in a one-to-one feedback session with Emily during the course.
