Sand Casting with Kate Sale
About the class
Explore the ancient art of sand casting in this hands-on workshop with Kate Sale.
Also known as Delft Clay casting, this technique offers a raw and fun approach to creating unique jewellery pieces.
You'll leave the class with a perfectly imperfect ring or pendant, and you’ll also have the opportunity to experiment with casting raw sapphires in place.
This class is ideal for anyone looking to delve into the world of jewellery making with a creative and experimental approach.
What to bring
- A notebook or sketchbook for design ideas
- Optional: Any raw sapphires you’d like to experiment with (Kate will also provide stones for use in the class).
- Should you need, Bezel Ring Kits are available to purchase for $20 through reception at the Fremantle Arts Centre. These will be available throughout the term.
Building Accessibility
Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.
We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
Other Additional Needs
Should you, or the person you are enrolling for, have any other additional requirements, please include these details when booking. Should you wish to chat to one of our friendly team, feel free to contact Reception on 9432 9555 or email [email protected] to discuss any individual needs.
