Ngaanyatjarra artists will teach you how to re-purpose scraps of tin and plastic and transform them into striking art objects, figurines or even Christmas decorations. You will respond to the shapes in the found objects and scrap materials, brought down from Warakurna, using tin shears, pliers, wire and glue to assemble new forms and then finish them with acrylic paint.
All materials and tools provided. No experience needed.
What to bring:-
- If you have any old tin scraps or other discarded materials you’d like to use please bring them along (not essential)
- Closed footwear and appropriate clothing to be worn

Warakurna Artists is located in the remote community of Warakurna in WA’s Ngaanyatjarra lands and is a hub for three remote Ngaanyatjarra communities; Wanarn, Patjarr and Warakurna. Warakurna Artists facilitates the production of the artists’ work and is one of the leading organisations in the Western Desert Mob alliance.
