Conquer your fear of buttons, zips and all the other fiddly bits that stop you from finishing those sewing projects! These finishing techniques will give your sewing projects a lovely, more professional finish. Working on a series of samples each week, learn a number of tricks and skills. Bring your own sewing machine. Some basic/ beginner sewing skills recommended.
What to bring:-
- A sewing machine in good working order (bring along the manual if you have it)
- Pack of assorted sewing machine needles (size 12 sharps or universal needles)
- Pencil & sharpener
- Small screwdriver
- Fabric scissors
- Measuring tape
- 30cm ruler
- 50cm calico or cotton fabric/scrap
- Pen and notebook
- Angela will advise you during class what sort of fabric and other materials (such as buttons, zips & elastic) you will need to bring along for the following weeks
FAC has implemented a number of cleaning and safety measures to ensure our students’ wellbeing. Social distancing will be observed in the studios and course content has been adapted to suit new safety guidelines. Hand sanitiser will be provided and studios will be thoroughly cleaned before and after each class.
