Jewellery Skills for Beginners

Max Butcher beg

Be guided through jewellery making skills such as melting and pouring metal, using rolling mills, sawing, piercing and pendant drill techniques, soldering and polishing. Using your new skill set, develop and create your own piece of jewellery under the guidance of experienced jeweller Max Butcher.


  •  A materials fee is included in the cost of the course (students will need to purchase their own silver)

What to bring:-

  • Notebook & pen
  • Students will need to purchase their own silver (to be discussed in the first classes)
  • Closed footwear and appropriate clothing to be worn

COVID-19 Response:

FAC has implemented a number of cleaning and safety measures to ensure our students’ wellbeing. Social distancing will be observed in the studios and course content has been adapted to suit new safety guidelines. Hand sanitiser will be provided and studios will be thoroughly cleaned before and after each class.
