Introduction to Digital Photography (Thursdays)

Jay Heifetz beg

Enjoy taking control of your camera to master its technical capabilities and to further your personal creative results. This course is intended for inquisitive amateur and hobbyist photographers interested in taking their experiences to a level of greater comfort, self-assurance, and enjoyment. In a condensed overview, we’ll cover the fundamentals of picture-taking, camera controls, file formats, storage, and artistic considerations. As we go, you’re sure to realise that your camera is one of your favourite creative friends. We’ll plan several shooting assignments and at least one “off campus” shooting experience, all fun and challenging, and have frequent opportunities to share our work with the rest of the group for their supportive feedback.
