Are you interested in colour? Learn how to identify colour schemes, explore different colour wheels and premix your own palette. Working on a painting look at the entire group of possible colours you will use, called a gamut, and define your own to create harmony in your work. This class is suitable for all levels of experience including beginners.
What to bring:-
- Acrylic paints (Matisse/Altelier are recommended), black, Titanium white, magenta, Cadmium yellow, Pthalo blue
- A variety of brushes or small set including small and large round and flat synthetic brushes (artist quality)
- Knife (scapel or box knife)
- Pencil, eraser & marker
- Canvas or small boards for painting exercise
- Masking tape

Desmond Sweeney is a visual artist creating landscape paintings and seascape murals with 20 years experience in the arts and creative industries.
Desmond taught at NIDA in Production Properties for 5 years as a special effects, faux finishes and scenic arts tutor whilst working as Scenic Artist for Opera Australia painting props, backdrops and sets.
