Art Book Sculpture – Kids Group Project (for 9-16 yr olds) – Fremantle Library Turns 70 FREE Workshop

Jenessa King begintadv

The City of Fremantle Library turns 70 in September. To mark this milestone FAC and City of Fremantle Civic Collection will partner with the Library to recreate a reading room of artist books made from discarded library stock.

The Workshop:

Under the guidance of popular FAC adult & kid tutor, Jenessa King, create various decorative pieces out of old books to create a communal large-scale artist book. Learn how to make trinkets out of paper using folding, braiding and hand-stitching methods.

The finished piece will then be displayed in the interactive reading room created at Fremantle Art Centre’s front foyer during the months of September and October.

Workshop is open to all skill levels for children aged 9-16. Bookings essential.
