Hello, and thank you for your interest in applying for Fremantle Arts Centre's Bazaar Christmas Market!

Bazaar is Western Australia’s most loved Christmas market and takes place over the first weekend of December within FAC’s beautiful grounds. Bazaar presents the highest calibre of WA-designed wares, from crafts and homewares to fashion, jewellery, textiles, ceramics, woodwork, toys, prints, stationery and more.

Bazaar Incubator Program

FAC is committed to supporting emerging artists in all that we do. This year we are bringing back the Bazaar Incubator Program, offering five emerging makers in the first five years of their practice the opportunity to participate in the market with subsidised stallholder fees and support. Please note, the stall commission fee is applied to Incubator stalls.

  • Mon 17 July: Applications open
  • 11:59pm AWST Sun 13 August: Applications close. Late applications will not be accepted.
  • Samples drop off period: 9am–5pm, Thursday 3 August - Friday 18 August
  • First Week of September 2023: Applicants advised of outcome

This year Bazaar will run from 1–3 December, opening with a 5–9pm twilight session on Friday, continuing 9am–5pm Saturday and Sunday.


Please note the following important points before proceeding with the application form below. If you require any assistance with this form, please contact us at

  • Applications must be accompanied by images of your work and some written material about your business and what you create.
    o Please do not only provide links to websites as examples of your work. We need to see specific images please.
    o Physical samples are strongly encouraged but not compulsory. Max. 5 samples per applicant.
    o If you can submit a physical sample to accompany your application, please mail or deliver it to FAC. We will receive samples 9am–5pm, Thursday 3 August - Friday 18 August. Please clearly mark your name and stall name on samples. Courier deliveries can be mailed to: 1 Finnerty St, Fremantle WA 6160.
  • While all care is taken, FAC does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to samples.
  • The quality of your application and the examples of work that you submit will have a direct bearing on your application. Any information you can provide about why you're a great fit for Bazaar will help to inform the selection panel's decision.
  • A selection panel of FAC staff and craft and design sector representatives will select the stallholders for Bazaar.
  • The panel's decision is final and will consider each application against the following criteria:
    o Overall quality of products
    o Design and execution
    o Originality and uniqueness
    o Made/designed in Western Australia
    o Balance of final selection
  • Only stallholders with exclusively WA-designed material will be selected. Proof that your work bears a strong connection to WA may be requested. FAC reserved the right to reject applications on the basis of this criteria.
  • FAC takes a 20% +GST commission on all sales. Stall fees apply. See below for rates.
  • Card-present payments from Square transactions will incur a 1.9% fee which will be payable by the stallholder.
  • All stallholders must abide by FAC's sales protocols and hold their own public liability insurance.
  • Stall signage is supplied by Fremantle Arts Centre unless by special arrangement.

FAC is committed to supporting emerging artists in all that we do. This year sees the return of the Bazaar Incubator, offering five emerging makers the opportunity to trade in the Bazaar Incubator Marquee with no stallholder fee and with the support and guidance of our Bazaar team in the lead up to the market. The successful applicants will be selected by the Bazaar selection panel and will be allocated a 1.8M trestle space. Bazaar Incubator is for emerging makers only. Emerging artists are those in the first five years of practice OR those who have never been part of Bazaar.
