Over ten hours, Melbourne-based renegade printmaker Joel Gailer and endurance artist Michael Meneghetti will push their bodies to the limit with a series of one hour performances, based around the possibilities of print.
Questioning and exploring masculinity, Meneghetti and Gailer, the controversial 2008 FAC Print Award winner, bring their audacious print performance spectacular to FAC to thrill and challenge audiences.

Performprint Event Schedule
10am: Soft ground stencil. Joel Gailer and Michael Meneghetti will begin line painting the grounds of FAC and turning them into a large stencil printed area.
11am: Meneghetti's Harley Matrixson print roller costume will be debuted. He will use the costume and a ramp to pull prints.
11.30am: Gailer and Meneghetti will start continuously pulling drypoint prints of 'Male Ego'. Audience are encouraged to join in.
Noon: Printing of handcut woodblock letters which spell out PERFORMPRINT on to large sheets of paper. An edition of surfer characters will roam FAC.
12.30pm: Rope will be laid down for a tug-of-war performance. Audience are encouraged to join in.
1pm: On top of a stack of Brillo Soap boxes Joel will deliver a rant about print.
1.30pm: A character dressed in a costume made from surfboards will roam the grounds.
2pm: Gailer will stamp 'Truth is a Copy' on to a series of small prints.
2.30pm: Meneghetti's Harley Matrixson print roller costume will be used to pull prints.
3pm: Rope will be laid down for a tug-of-war performance. Audience are encouraged to join in.
3.30pm: On top of a stack of Brillo Soap boxes Joel will deliver a rant about print.
4pm: Meneghetti Vixen performance.
4.30pm: Gailer will stamp 'Truth is a Copy' on to a series of small prints.
5pm: Meneghetti's Harley Matrixson print roller costume will be used to pull prints.
5.30pm: A number of bikie characters will arrive at FAC on their Harley Davidsons.
6pm: Video art will be projected onto an outdoor screen sculpture.
6.30pm: Gailer will be branded live. At the moment of branding, the sound of revving Harley Davidsons will roar out over FAC.
7pm: A discussion about the series of performances.

FAC Print Award Forum - Possibilities of Print
Joel Gailer and Michael Meneghetti will discuss Performprint and the possible relationships between printmaking, performance and video.
Speakers also include Jenna Downing from Perth hacker space Artifactory and Sue Forster, Print Council of Australia’s editor of Imprint Magazine.
