Unity II: Digital Game Development – Introduction to Assets and Scripting
Tue 03 Oct 2017
This course will introduce students to the process of asset creation and integration within the Unity game development engine. Assets are the building blocks of game creation – the sounds, models, textures, and scripts which the engine pulls together to make a game. Unlike Unity I: Digital Game Development for Beginners, where students built a game from pre-packaged parts, in this course students will build their own assets in free third-party programs like Blender, GIMP, and Monodevelop, before bringing everything together into an expansion pack for their physics-based puzzle game. Previous participation in Unity I is not mandatory but is strongly advised.
