Tea Pot Wheel Throwing Workshop

Over the six week course, you’ll be guided by ceramicist Lucy Aboagye, giving you all the skills and techniques needed to make your very own tea set, including a teapot and tumblers.

During the course, you will learn:
• The basics on how to throw different teapot body shapes
• How to assemble your teapot
• How to create a set of tumblers to match
• How to trim your tea set

While throwing clay requires attention and practice, at the end of this course you’ll be able to take home a number of pieces that you’ll be proud of! Suitable for those with some basic throwing knowledge and skills.

Public art has come a long way since the streets of New York City, and most often has had something to say! Join Natalie Estay for an exploration into how public art has inspired artists for decades all around the world and allows people to express themselves through paintbrushes or spray cans. This course challenges students to positively express and communicate bold statements they wish for themselves and the world through stencil screen printing onto textile materials.

This course begins at 3:30pm - high school students are welcome and encouraged to attend!
