Whether this is your first time to Bazaar or your tenth, we’ve compiled a list of all the tips you’ll need to make the most of your day at the market.
Whilst our payment stalls are fully equipped with EFTPOS facilities, it’s wise to bring cash to pay for your entry, parking and food vendors. There are no ATMs on site.
Entry is $2 per adult, kids under 12 are free. Have your change ready at the gate for speedy entry.
Pay for everything at once
Bazaar operates with a payment tent system. Browse all the stalls, collecting dockets from stallholders when you want to purchase something, then go to the payment tent located on the upper level and pay for everything in one go. Simple! Then take your docket(s) back to the stalls to pick up your goods.
There’s limited free street parking on Finnerty, Ord and Vale Streets. Additional paid parking is available across the road at Fremantle Leisure Centre. You can also park in the grounds of John Curtin College for $5 per car per entry. Proceeds go towards the school’s chaplain.
If you’re coming from Fremantle town centre, hop on the free Red CAT bus, it stops just across the street.
Grab a Map
Pick up a map at the gate to help you easily find specific stallholders, toilets, payment tent, bar, food vendors and change rooms.
Search #FACBazaar on Instagram
Search the #FACBazaar hashtag for a sneak peek at all the amazing products you can expect to find at Bazaar and to follow stallholders you vibe with. Don’t forget, if you take any pics over the weekend be sure to tag us @fremantleartscentre.
Meet the makers
There’s nothing better than buying direct from makers and artisans. Use the opportunity to chat with the people who made the things you’re swooning over. They’d love to tell you more about their range and how their products are made.
Food & Drink Offerings
There will be lots of yummy food to choose from to keep your energy up while you shop. Head to our Inner Courtyard and the upper level to find a selection of delicious meals from an array of food vendors and a fully stocked bar (opening 12pm Sat + Sun). This year’s food vendors include: Box Pizza, The Iberians Paella, Sol Cocina, Bollygood Spices Curry, La Paleta and Juice Station, plus Canvas Cafe will be open all weekend.
We will also have a water station, so bring your refillable water bottle.
There will be a bouncy castle for kids on Saturday and Sunday located on the South Lawn. Plus our Kids’ Corner is open throughout Bazaar and is filled with fun, free creative activities. You can also check out our latest exhibitions, Preppers and Shaun Tan: Tales from the Inner City in the galleries and enjoy tunes from local DJs across the weekend.
Change rooms are located next to the toilets at the back of the building, just near stall 33.
Leave your doggo at home
Sorry, we love dogs but they’re not permitted within FAC grounds.
Go on, you deserve it.
