Cheeky and loud, black and proud, this Melbourne International Comedy Festival national competition unearths the freshest, fiercest and funniest new Indigenous talent from around the country. The WA heats will take place at FAC, hosted by hilarious comedian Andy Saunders.

Now in its 11th year, Deadly Funny is a significant part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The competition celebrates the comedy flair of emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander comedians aged 18 and over, with entrants undertaking a private workshop before performing live in public heats across the country.

The national winner will receive $2,000 and a chance to perform at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
