“There is something primal and infectious about soul delivered this way.” Nick O’Byrne, AIR Independent Reviews

Mama Kin releases her bittersweet melodies with stomping piano rhythm and swampy beats, all the while seamlessly traversing the riotous, the raw and the intimate. “Tore My Heart Out” - the first single from the debut album BEAT AND HOLLER (out mid 2010) has struck a chord with the folks at iTUNES and RAGE, being named Single of the Week and Indie Clip of the week. This track promises to be the horn blower of an exciting album release, with an impressive line up of festivals jumping on board to showcase MAMA KIN across the country, including East Coast and West Coast Blues and Roots, Darwin Festival, Mullum Festival, Woodford, Peats Ridge and WOMAD.  Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see Mama Kin perform in an intimate setting.

“… captivating, entertaining and extremely talented.” Stephen Lowe, Culture Magazine, Luxembourg

“Mama Kin has a voice that soothes and soars, she got bittersweet melody and groove in her soul."  Vikki Thorn, The Waifs.

“...this years ‘next big thing’ ” Sarah Howells, Roots N All, Triple J

“….melancholic soul. A classy woman with a great voice.” Eva Louis, Review Archive, Munich, Germany

“...a smokey voice made for soul, she’ll transport you straight to an underground New Orleans bar, cigar and glass of red wine in hand.” Hit Pick Australian Music Network

“ Especially impressive...sure to set your soul on fire.”  Sacha Molitorisz, The Sun Herald
