Fashion Talks

I dont do fashion, Coco Chanel once said. I am fashion. Some people breathe, eat and sleep fashion and in WA, you dont have to go far to find them. In its isolation WA has proved to be a hotbed of creative fashion talent. Perth designers now stand on the global stage, enjoying increasing national and international acclaim.
Following the success of last years series with designers ericaamerica and Megan Salmon, Fremantle Arts Centres Fashion Talks returns in 2008. Over three Wednesdays in March, Fashion Talks examines the grit behind the gloss of fashion with WAs best.
Hosted by designer, artist, writer and lecturer Jo Pickup, Fashion Talks provides the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and into the world of our most renowned designers and fashion professionals. Join designers as they talk candidly about their inspiration and training, their big break, art versus fashion, business, publicity, celebrities and, we hope, some good old-fashioned gossip. All sessions are in the picturesque inner courtyard accompanied by examples and AV images from each label.
Fashion Talks for anyone interested in fashion.
